Thanks sjfans. The print on the web page is sooo small I guessed I initially missed that section. I just read that site and it only allows you to purchase a maximum of $500.00. It doesn't say if that is daily or otherwise. We want to maybe purchase the yearly maximum ($30,000.00 per taxpayer per year) so $500.00 maximum increments won't help.

DH can retire with full benefits in 6 years (age 57), but if the company offers an early out, he will take it. So I'm starting to set up our money ladder. The interest on the I Savings Bonds average 1% to 1.5% over 5 year CD's in our area.
