Thanks Zen,adsach, and Eblakemore for your replies. Your comments have given me a lot of food for thought in reagrds to the holding period and the tax implications of selling too soon.
Zen, thanks for the info on Chapter 46 in Security analysis. I haven't had the chance to peruse it yet, but I intend on doing so now. I believe you refer to the original 1934 edition of Security analysis?
In regards to HBI-I tend to agree with you. It seems to generate adequate cash flow and although their technological ventures may seem uncertain-they price the stock as if it were going to die tommorrw. I will do some more digging into past news resources and archives to see why the market is pessimistic on HBI. I will inform you of my results. Sorry I could not respond sooner. I was out of town this weekend. Actually played golf with my brother over the weekend in Chicago. A great way to slow down and get away from the market for a little while I might add. I will keep you all posted. Glad to see a little more life on this board lately...
