Thanx for the reply Roy. I wasn't totally clear with my question, I realize now, but you got the gist of it. I'm not working this year so my income will be short term capital gains on stocks I trade.

To save on long term capital gains taxes, it would take too long to justify, so I think I'll just bite the bullet.

On a personal note, my wife and I were out in Scottsdale in Oct 97'. Stayed a week at the Camelback Resort. First time I'd ever been out West. Beautiful weather you've got out there.
