That is a great question and I will be waiting to hear an answer.

It is sad that wars end up becoming impersonalized and analyzed as academic excercises.
A recent example is "The Fog of War" explaining and rationalizing the war by McNamara.

Books, Movies, Interviews,etc. follow without repercussions or penalties for the many mistakes made. I recall Condi Rice already stating that she will be writing a book about the Iraq war later when she has time.

The political leaders and their service age children should be on the front lines of battle! They are too far removed from the horrors of war.
