That is why my son is now homeschooled. He was losing weight, and had to be put on medication to increase his appetite, along with his seizure medications. It was horrible, he was taking more meds than my dad! He also became withdrawn and suffered from tics. I decided it wasn't worth it, and took him off the meds, and he was promptly kicked out of school, and told not to return until he was properly medicated. When the school found out I did not intend to medicate him again, but instead homeschool him, they immediately backtracked, not wanting to lose his special ed funding I suppose. But, it was too late. I was fed up, and I wasn't going to do that to my son any longer!
