That may be some of the answer - the renovations! That's a stressful time for the cats, and you turned their whole world upside down. My cats freak out if I move a piece of furniture, and it took a long time for them to accept a new room in their house. So, now that they're settling into a new space, you may have a better time of it.

Patience - a virtue that cats have and humans are often short on. Keep us posted,
