That story is infuriating in so many ways. Besides the obvious, as a mom who had a son in middle school football, I really resent the idea that so many people, including pediatricians, can say how dangerous it is...but as far as letting young boys onto the field to get concussed, etc...that's just fine.

Either it's relatively safe with the right protective gear, in which case, this young lady should be fine out there, or it's too risky,and maybe there should be some rethinking about youngsters and full-contact football.

And the remark about disapproving that she chose to put media pressure on the Church instead of quietly trying to work it out behind closed doors, I must say I'm not surprised. It's like they don't get how "pressure" is supposed to work.
