That's all you really NEED to survive. It's just realizing the difference between WANTS and NEEDS.So true Agg. About 45 years ago, growing up here in NYC, my best friend lived in a 3 bedroom apartment with her parents and 8 siblings. The parents had 1 bedroom, the girls had another, and the boys the third--needless to say, there were many bunk beds! When I slept-over at their house one night, what struck me the most was that none of them seemed to feel 'deprived', and in fact they all appeared quite happy. As to the father (main provider) feeling pressured? He used to answer the telephone with a butler's voice and say, "Shea Residence, East Wing" -- which said volumes to me about his state of mind. :-)It pains me when I see all around me what our society has sunk to, the belief that money can buy happiness--no wonder parents and children alike are so unhappy and discontent.2old
