...that's the way it's designed to do updates.
Swell. So someone who's just bought a Ford is driving down the road and while trying to figure out where the turn is(*) he gets a WTF! experience. Does ANYONE here believe that the guy's eyes are staying on the highway and the traffic around him?
*Or adjust the heater or tune the radio or any of the things this nightmare purportedly "helps" us with.

...but it's a relatively uncommon experience…. "just" a few times per year.
You need only distract a driver once.

I got the answer I started this thread to ask for.
1. Any Ford with MyFord Touch is off my shopping list.
2. I'll be asking much more pointed questions of the salesmen at the other lots.
3. Maybe I'll have another look at the Studebaker down the street. It's a good runner.
