The Alexandria-based doctor has been limiting most of his Medicare patients to twice yearly rather than the quarterly checkups he considers ideal for the elderly.

No wonder medical costs are going up, with doctors to the wealthy recommending quarterly checkups!

My nearly 85-year-old Mom gets an annual checkup, and additional medical care only if she experiences worrisome symptoms or pain.

I get a checkup every other year as my private insurer through my husband's employer--the state of South Carolina--doesn't cover checkups for anyone over the age of 12. Obviously doctor whatsisname isn't on their preferred list ;-)
