"Although bearish on the macro economic environment,I have begun building a position in Activision Blizzard (ATVI) and Electronic Arts (ERTS). Because of negative economic conditions, I believe these companies may experience a short-term decline from these levels; however, I am not going to wait to see if that transpires. Any pull-backs resulting will be regarded as a buying opportunity (if the stocks should decline by 40% or more.)

I am highly bullish on the video gaming sector and believe it will continue to grow significantly into the future as they are embraced by a larger segment of the population. As technology improves, I believe that the video game industry will swallow up the traditional Hollywood film industry, making traditional films (as we know them) regarded as primitive. Within the next 3-5 years, the video game industry will transform the action, sci-fi and eventually drama genres the way the television transformed them from radio. The closer we get to artificial intelligence, the more incredible the possibilities. The coming years of improving virtual reality and artificial intelligence will bring video games that will defy the imagination.

I also believe these technologies will bring many negatives as with any hedonist culture hell-bent on destroying itself. Nevertheless, this medium is the future, however much future we may have – and it will make substantial profits for those who hold the leaders..."
