Well, despite the recommends, your links did not seem to wake anyone up.

Which is a shame.

I have often thought that the American culture is going to pot. Now I have proof positive. In simple, humorous personal ads, there were multiple references to various pieces of literature, as well as a wonderfully diverse vocabulary that would cause most people on this side of the "pond" to say, "Huh?"

I also wish that the humor contained as (seemingly) a matter of course, would also catch on over here. They might have been loony, but they weren't boring.
