After three years and 8 semesters my second go-around at graduate education is coming to a quiet end. I'm not taking the last exam in one class as we can drop one grade and I've already achieved what I needed to in that class. My other class is meeting tonight for the last time and I'm strongly resisting going as they haven't made it clear which papers they plan to present tonight (which makes it impossible to review them in advance to formulate useful questions). Given what happened at last week's session in our smaller groups, where I was the only one that actually read anyone else's papers and asked questions this will be, at best, a low yield experience.

So that's it. A quiet, unremarkable ending to three years worth of evening classes on top of full-time work. I'm taking my two nights a week back now.
