The fact is that if you are duping a copy of a favorite cd from your friends because you're too cheap to go out and buy it yourself, it's still stealing.Or maybe the recording industry is doing it to themselves. When CD's cost $18, of course sales are going to decrease. You buy a few CDs and can easily spend $100. The retail-based distribution model for music is too expensive anymore. I think there will be a lot of support among listeners for a legal Internet music downloading service and Apple appears to have been by far the most successful at combining the convenience of Napster into a legal service.
