The funny thing is that technically MLB reinstating Rose does not guarantee his eligibility for the Hall of Fame. The Hall is an independent organization and could continue to consider him to be ineligible if they wish to. I doubt that they would take that step if MLB reinstated Rose, but it isn't guaranteed either.

Yeah, people always seem to get this part confused. It is the Hall of Fame itself that's keeping Rose out, not Major League Baseball.
