The goal of bond-investing is the same as that of investing in any asset-class, and an investor’s success can be measured by answering this question.

Has purchasing-power been increased over a time-frame that statistically significant and in manner than is efficient relative to the risks assumed?

Only you can answer that question for yourself, and your answers don’t interest me, as my answer shouldn’t interest you or provoke the envy it so manifestly does.

If you don’t like losing money and/or purchasing power, resenting bond-investors who are successful won’t put money into your pockets. But taking responsibility for your mistakes and learning how to do your own work might enable you to follow in their footsteps.

The choice is yours. Use it wisely.
