The GOP plays hardball politics, and I don't think the recent election has persuaded them to do otherwise.

What GOP are you watching? If they played hardball they would have the election. (or made it closer)...the Establishment GOP is bunch of spineless jellyfish who care about their jobs than anything else.

Look at the fiscal cliff talks...the only reason we are at this point is because they didn't stand up to Obama 2 years ago and decided it was better to kick the can down the road. (Don't get me wrong, the Democrats are just as bad when it comes to perserving their jobs, but they play dirty. They go negative, and then accuse the GOP of all the dirty tricks they are pulling).
