The instructions to form 1040 (which will be sent to you, at no charge, by the IRS) is a good place to start. If you don't include the dividends & earnings from your mutual fund on your tax form, the IRS will tickle your memory. You'll get a nice letter asking you to give them a reason why they should refrain from taking your firstborn.
