The Last Camel Charge
by Forrest Bryant Johnson

I usually don't review a book before I've finished it, but I'm making an exception in this case because I found this wonderful well written bit of the history of the old west on the book table and I want y'all to have a chance to get one before they're all gone.

Although the title suggests the book is all about the military use of camels in the wild west the book goes ten chapters before getting around to the mammals.

And what, you ask, could fill those ten chapters? Why the history of the American southwest of course.

I'll post another review here when I've finished the book.

I bought the hardback new at Costco for $14.39 but you can preview the book at Amazon.

Amazon sells the hardback book new for $17.30
