The liberals had a bigger stranglehold and tried to shove extremely liberal policy down our throats. Welcome to our world. Not fun is it?

Giving women freedom to decide whether or not to have children--instead of having politicians and leaders of religions other than their own decide for them, was just too much for conservatives...whose own women are as likely to have abortions as other women when they themselves deem it necessary.

Giving people of different races, religious beliefs (or no religious belief), national origin, sexual orientation/gender identity equal rights, was just too much for conservative snowflakes who insist everyone not just like themselves be treated as inferior. Even though the Constitution says otherwise.

Giving their fellow Americans a helping hand when in need, also too much for conservative snowflakes, who prefer to pretend that only bad or lazy people ever run into trouble or at best to let religious organizations take over public charity (and let them discriminate).

Protecting Americans from the excesses of corporate power--whether via net neutrality, product safety regulations, environmental protection, insisting that financial advisors provide unbiased advice--is a bridge too far for conservative corporate snowflakes, who insist upon the freedom to delude and rob the public without constraint.

Protecting scientists' (and journalists!) ability to speak the truth to the public about research results--also a bridge too far when the truth gores conservative corporate or political oxen.
