It's been years since I read the book, which I loved, so I'm really interested in hearing what people think of the movie when it comes out next week.

I find the commercial trailer a bit confusing. It seems to depict this as a kid's adventure film. Considering the darker side of the story, it's hardly a Disney movie. Given it's an Ang Lee film, I'm guessing the trailer is aimed more at getting the whole family post-Thanksgiving audience, but that the two sides of Pi's story will be depicted properly.

Sure hope some of you see it and, especially if you've read the book, post your thoughts and reviews. We rarely see movies until they're released on DVD due to DH's hearing problems. Gotta have those captions :-)

Cheers,

Jeanie
