The logic in the new normal is pay as you go. In the late '90s, customers got a free ride and borrowed capital underwrote everything. Today, the only way to grow is to create compelling solutions that customers are willing to pay for right now...The critical difference in the new normal isn't between an up market and a down market, it's between people who are primed to perform in any environment and people who are simply victims of circumstance

I take it that this doesn't apply to George Bush, the government, et al. While the govt. is increasing spending by billions and billions, we're going to have a tax-cut of a few billion. Meanwhile, we have a foreign policy based upon the acts of mad terrorists and what they might do next will dictate that policy. I wish I knew where all the new normal people were, so they could be elected to office. I guess all the people that know how to run the country are too busy cutting hair and driving taxis.
