The MAGI phaseout range for a person who is not an active participant in a pension plan, but whose spouse IS an active participant is $173,000 - $183,000 for 2012.

Below the bottom figure, you get a full IRA deduction. Above the higher figure and there is no deduction. Between the two you get a partial deduction.
