We've talked it here in FoolHQ, and we think Flossary really doesn't fit what we're building together. The name has always been a working-title originating from a joke made about six months ago during a meeting.
Apart from the dental connotations, It would fit if we were only about investing terms. Since we've moved into companies, people, and even some how-to guides, calling it a Fool's Glossary would really underrepresent the actual content. Thus it's time to move on from Flossary to the next working title: Touchstone.
This was suggested by Tastylunch in this thread: http://boards.fool.com/Message.asp?mid=26780035&sort=who... Be sure to check out the reasons behind the name, posted both in Tastylunch's original message and in some of the great responses. I personally think it's a great name that fits both the Motley Fool and our project quite well. Note it's still a working title so keep suggesting others. As David G is fond of saying: "Top it."
With that, goodbye Flossary. Welcome Touchstone!
Jeremy
PS: Now we need to come up with the equivalent of Flossers. Our editors need a name!
