This morning before work I officially cut <with scissors> the two inches I lost off of my work belt. While most might think this is a strange thing to do, let me first explain that my work belt is an adjustable elastic band in that the entire thing is puchased large and cut to fit. The metal buckle has a piece on it that slides on and off the elastic so it fits properly in accordance to military clothing standards. This is the first time in so many years that I have had to actually wear my belt as my pants keep sliding down over my hips if I don't wear it.
At any rate, I cut the belt in order to make permanent the success in loss of inches and to further enforce the fact that I never want to go back to where I was before I started. I hope that in the future I can lose a few more inches and continue making cuts as necessary.
I consider this a symbolic move and proof of my success!
