The other thing that is difficult: I still have not signed up with a gym. It's only partly money. The big problem is being able to get there often enough, and I really would like to have access to a pool. The "exercise program" still consists of walking and yard work.

Are there any aquatic centers in your area? We have several here, including one that has an indoor pool. The cost to join isn't as much as the local gyms, but it gives you 7 days a week access. For outside pools, our city has several pools that can be accessed with a season pass for the summer.

I rarely shop at malls. I find that I get better value and better made clothing when I go to stand alone shops. The sales tend to be better and the discounts deeper.

Being within 10lbs of your goal is really good. Keep up the good work. I can understand the chocolate rationing. I am fortunate that my boss, who is considerably younger than me has a sweet tooth, so when we have those sorts of treats around, he's usually good to eat them. I might get one taste, but I don't have to worry about getting too much. At home my teenage son handles the same job :0)
