The oven
-Put all of the removable parts of your stove into a plastic garbage bag and pour in a couple of cups of ammonia. Seal the bag with a tie and leave for several hours. Then slit the bottom over the sink and let drain. Open and rinse. No mess, no scrubbing. Better yet, do all this outside in you yard and rinse with garden hose.
-If something spills or boils over in a hot oven, sprinkle with salt immediately. When oven is cool brush off burned food and wipe with a damp sponge.

I am replacing the entire stove with a self-cleaning this summer.
