the reason this stock dropped so much is because AON is one of the major tenants of the south tower of the WTC--just a mistake on the part of some carless investors...Plausible reasoning, but it's by no means the only reason. I'm pretty certain that some investors / institutional investors liquidated a lot of their AAON holdings on purpose as well. The stock had run up to where it was fairly valued. Institutional investors especially try to lock in gains in the face of bad news. Don't be so quick to discount the gross inefficiencies of the stock market. Whenever human psychology is involved you never get a rational result.
