We were on our way to Monkey Joe's (a bounce house place) for the kids to burn off some energy. As is normal, I asked the kids before we got there to go over the rules.
"No Running!" I heard from the back.
"That's right," I said.
"And wait with Mom and Dad while they pay" I heard.
"Absolutely," I said.
"And no coming up with plans on how to trap the kids in one area of the large bounce houses." This one caught me by surprise.
"Do you do this?" I asked.
"Only once when there was a lot of little kids." I was appalled.
"You mean you trapped little kids in the bounce houses?" I asked.
"Oh no," they reassured me. "The little kids were on our side. If you get enough you can shut the whole thing down." I was about to lose it.
"Well make sure you don't do this."
"Of course," they answered. "It's one of the rules."
"Are they any other rules?" I asked.
"Yeah, if you accidentally knock someone down, don't offer to help them up and then punch them instead and ask 'Did that hurt more?' Because that is really mean."
