The September 20 issue of Business Week has a 3 page feature article on Metropoulos and what they plan to do with the Pabst Blue Ribbon and related brand names. (The article is not posted on the BW website yet:

Not much new in the article. Still 2% market share. Still lots of room to grow with little trouble expected from market leaders.

C. Dean Metropoulos and his sons Evan and Dean head the company. Dean is famous for gaining shelfspace in grocery stores for his brands which have included Bumble Bee Tuna, Perrier-Joulet, Chef Boyardee, Duncan Hines, Aunt Jemima, Vlasic Pickles, Swanson frozen dinners and Ghirardelli Chocolate. He is a pro at building value before selling out to the big guys.

The brands list includes: Colt 45, Old Milwaukee, Primo, Ranier, Schaefer, Stroh's, Schlitz, Schmidt, Lone Star, National Bohemian, Falstaff, as well as Pabst Blue Ribbon. They mention Red, White & Blue. No mention of Old Style.

And zero position in fast growing craft brews. This one is all nostalgia.
