The Stones!!

One of my favorite songs -- and that YouTube video is a terrific version.

Anyway, over the last three weeks contributors have really stepped up to the plate. The film may have been helped by a parallel wild horse petition campaign that has been getting a lot of attention from Colorado's local television stations.

A three-hour rough cut is now in the can. Sylvia Johnson and her crew are working around the clock to get this edited down to a 90-minute final cut. Her latest bulletin:

Ben Cheek was here for the last 5 days and we made a lot of progress developing the graphical style and what the visual representation of important facts and figures is going to look like (and its looking great!!). After Thanksgiving, editor Anne Goetz will be back on board to really work on getting the film to a final cut. I feel incredibly lucky to get to work with top notch people like Ben and Anne who are so good at what they do. This kind of creative collaboration makes the film so much stronger!

[...] Yesterday, the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign delivered a petition signed by 25,130 Americans to Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar, demanding an emergency stop to the sale, roundup and removal of wild horses from federal lands based on recent evidence of the BLM selling horses to a Colorado buyer who was sending them to slaughter in Mexico. Tensions around this issue are at a breaking point, and it is a perfect time to reframe the dialogue and for innovative solutions to gain traction.

We have raised $13,000 in the last 3 weeks with your help, and have 5 days to raise another $5,000 and reach our goal. Please help us spread the word in these final days to anyone you think might contribute. This story needs to get out there as soon as possible and the Roaming Wild team needs the means to be able to finish it.
