The Taxpayers' Advocate Office is by far the best part of the IRS.

I'd have to agree. When my mother had a stroke in 2001, I took over as her guardian. Shortly thereafter, I began fighting with the IRS over $300 they erroneously claimed she owed from a previous year, and after 18 months of wrangling and dunning letters, I wrote a letter to the Taxpayers' Advocate's Office and the problem was fixed in one month.

Now if they could just make Congress do something about AMT this year...
