The willingness to believe only what you want to believe is not exclusive to either side of the aisle

It is wildly lopsided on the right. If you don't see that you're not paying attention. Birth certificate? Muslim sympathizer? Socialist radical? Pallin' around with terrorists? Weak foreign policy? The War on Christmas?

This is not a recent development. Tell me how the guy who went AWOL on his military service gets to be the hero, while the guy who actually served in Vietnam and won several medals is made to be the coward? Tell me how people who questioned the lack of evidence of WMD were shouted down and called traitors. Explain how those following the "austerity" mandate are sinking, and those following the "stimulus" idea are growing, yet it is the "austerity" myth which keeps growing. Tell me how single-payor health care is the end of the world, even though every civilized nation on the planet except us has it. Tell me how taxes are "too high", since they are the lowest in modern history. Explain how Sarah Palin, who can't answer "What newspapers do you read" was tricked by a tough question, and then explain why Hillary is a witch.

Fuzzy thinking I will step on,
