The Windows 7 that you have Quicken running on - is it 64 bit or 32 bit?

It's 64 bit. I have no idea whether Q2006 is 32 bit or 16 bit, but it works fine. It downloads stock prices, and it updates financial institutions from time to time; I haven't tried to download transactions since that officially sunset in 2009.

The really, really nice thing is that along about 2010, I stopped getting those annoying upgrade nags. Now Q2006 works better than it did in 2008.

. . . and if by some chance the Win7 box should fail, I have another copy of Q2006 running under Wine on Ubuntu 12.4 LTS. There are some buggy things with downloading quotes on that one, but it's functional.

Sooner or later, Microsoft will "upgrade" everyone's operating system to make Q2006 fail for me; but for now, I'm not paying Intuit to break more stuff I use while adding fluffware I don't care about.
