There is no convincing evidence that Syria has developed BW but the possibility cannot be discounted.

So we go to war because Syria can't prove a negative, just like Iraq. Maybe the US would like to dust off those "genuine" artist's impressions of "mobile bioweapons labs" that Colin Powell used to freighten the UN.

I have been proposing, since last spring, that the US' interest in Syria has nothing to do with the civil war, but is to clear a flight path to northern Iran as most of that country's nuclear facilities are clustered in and around Tehran, and the safest flight path to Tehran is to overfly Syria and Iraq. Iraq'a air force was destroyed years ago, and a chaotic collapse of the Assad regime would ground the Syrian Air Force.
