There very well could be some logical reason that not getting married makes sense to you but if it is just that you are not ready to get married to then you should not buy the house together.

To each his own when it comes to what is essentially a religious matter. I will say though, that even after 20+ years of what I would call an overall happy and successful marriage, there are ups and downs in a relationship that lasts that long. If I had not been married, I might not have stuck it through some of the down times.
