There was a display down in the lobby that showed all kinds of "herbs" that were originally used as medicine. For instance Aspirin originally came from Willow Bark. Many heart remedies originally came from plants. Digitalis, a heart medication, originally came from Foxglove. Some anti-helmentics also originally came from plants.

Do people really think humans were utterly defenseless against maladies until Big Pharma came along? Pffft!

Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing. ~ Ezekiel 47:12
