There's an article that was posted at www.thestreet.com on 8/13/01 [and still available on the front page] entitled "When Your Broker Breaks the Rules" that you need to read because it provides very clear, step-by-step procedures to follow to attempt to correct a situation such as yours, namely you were given egregiously inappropriate advice. That is the sole grounds of your very justified complaint, not that you lost money and are very likely to lose more. Loses are just part of the game and you'll get no symapthy or sastisfaction from anyone for that. But very bad advice is an entirely diferent matter and your broker failed his fiduciary and legal responsibilities and the firm needs to correct the mistakes the broker made.
