There's too much regulation!!! Let's privatize this stuff! It's a free market... the consumer should be able to take care of this stuff themselves! The nanny state is too intrusive... it's costing us JOBS when we have to deal with all this paperwork! It's cutting into profits!

And those people who got sick? Who lost their jobs because of it? No health insurance? Died, due to this stuff? They should really educate themselves better. They need to watch out for this stuff. Bootstraps, I tell you! When America was great, people ate this kind of stuff every day and just got over it!

Now, now. Gutting the FDA was merely one of GWB's attempts to reduce the cost of government. He was an advocate for reining in such costs, including the FDA, the FAA, etc. That's how he came up with those wonderfully balanced budgets, and didn't have to increase the national debt. See?
