A $1.1 B loss is just that, regardless how much stuff you throw into the kettle; regardless how well the servers are trained to pretty up the place settings. Guess we ought to sit tight and try to enjoy the meal.

"AKRON, Ohio (CBS.MW) -- Shares of Goodyear Tire & Rubber advanced Thursday as much as 3.3 percent, as investors peered beneath the surface of the company's $1.1 billion fourth-quarter net loss."

"On a per-share basis, Goodyear lost $6.30 a share in the quarter, wider than the loss of $1.07 a share generated in the year-earlier period."
