They each explained they are unable to alter the APR, etc as the accounts are closed. I still make payments on time and pay more than the minimums but I am not getting anywhere. Any suggestions, other than more loans, bankruptcy or a third party handling my finances?

Will they reopen the accounts?

Don't tell them that you want to reopen just to try to get the rates changed.

If they will reopen, wait a brief time before trying to call and get the rates reduced.

Then keep the accounts open (don't use them).
