They have hills in Pittsburgh.Michigan has minor inclines.HowieYep, we have lots of hills and very narrow streets and roads. Add to that the three rivers and this makes for horrible rush hour traffic even when there is not snow. A former boss once told me that a smart Pittsburgher never works in a location where there is a river and or tunnel between their place of work and their home. Pittsburghers tend to stay on their side of a river.Pittsburgh's interstates are almost all only four lanes (two lanes in each direction) wide. There are few rare sections of Pittsburgh area interstate roadways where there may be three traffic lanes in one direction but they are not common. If we got as much snow as say our neighbor to the north gets (Erie, PA), we would not be able to function in the winter. Up in Erie or Buffalo, NY where it's flat and the roads are wide, the residents take snow in stride. Three inches of snow is a minor inconvenience up there.Mike
