They have the same internal polling data as the DNC and they want to hide as much of the coming Romney tsunami as possible, for as long as possible.

Now that's funny!

I guess Brietbart and his rabid followers don't subscribe to the theory that a business should put its money where it will do the most good.

Nor, apparently, do they understand that there are a lot more elections going on than just Obama/Romney. The exit polls are done for the convenience of broadcasters and newspapers, so they can get some baseline reporting in pocket before the final tabulations of votes, which sometimes takes many hours, even days.

States which are "reliable" one way or the other - but not just for Presidential elections - are going to be excluded. California, then, often votes Republican for Governor or other important statewide offices, or there may be Congressional Representative districts in play (or Senatorial races) which could affect the national legislature. Or it might even be that there are local mayoral or council races which the media in three important media markets want covered.

But it must be that the media, which doesn't report the results of exit polling until all the polls are closed in a state, is in a giant national conspiracy to try to suppress the vote by people attentively tuned in on Election Day, but who have not yet made up their mind to support their candidate.

Paranoia strikes deep... Into your life it will creep.
