thinkorswim was rated the best software based online broker by Barron's in March of 2007. I downloaded thinkorswim's software and took a look at it. It's about 22 Megabytes I think. It probably only took 2 seconds to save to my flash drive on a highspeed connection. I didn't have any trouble installing it. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it looks pretty impressive. The software does require you to set your screen display settings to 1024 x 768, which makes everything on your computer screen a lot smaller if you have an old computer. Go to Control panel, display, and settings to change it if you need to. You will also need quite a bit of RAM and a fairly new computer to run this software. I think the minimum recommended requirements are 500MB of RAM and a 1 GHz processer.
