This animation shows why the rowers are pretending they are stuck in a storm. Do you think the animation is wrong here? Because attacking Goddard will not make it go away. He also presented weather data to show that a storm was not present in the area.

I don't know where Goddard gets his weather data, but I just cut and pasted the latest 24 hours of weather data for Tuk Airport from Environment Canada below. These data show Tuk with a consistent 20-25 mph NE wind, gusting into the mid-30s mph, over the past 24 hours. The link is here, but this will update over time, so I've pasted the past 24 hours as of post time below.

True, these conditions wouldn't count as a "storm" on land, but they're in a covered *rowboat* in a shallow (and therefore choppy) sea, presenting a pretty decent cross-section to the wind, and trying to row directly into that consistent 25 mph headwind, with gusts to about 35 mph. It's little wonder they're having trouble making any headway. They don't need Goddard to conjure up conspiracies -- those winds are quite enough to do the job!

That same NE wind is blowing ice into the open channel along the shore, but it really sounds like wind is their main problem right now.
