this board is life, the universe and EVERYTHING.

the story of Isaiah's prediction was written down nearly 300 years after the event. Maybe I've got it wrong, but that does not sound like a prediction to me.

Many scholars disagree with you matzoid. Nonetheless, Isaiah said that Babylon would be destroyed for good. It wasn't until long after Isaiah was dead that Babylon became a desolate ruin. Go visit it today, just a mound of ruins. How could Isaiah have written that after the fact if the fact has remained for milleniums down to this very day?
