This doesn't seem right to me. If you have a credit card that you use and you pay off the balance every month, that should give you a better credit rating than carrying a balance. When I've seen my credit reports, the credit cards almost always show up with a balance - this is my normal monthly spending which I pay in full each month. I don't see how anyone could tell whether I pay it in full or pay the minimun based on the information in the credit report.
