The Mets signed Aaron Laffey to a minor league deal and he will receive an invite to major league camp during the spring.

The 27-year-old pitcher spent last season with the Blue Jays. In 100 2/3 innings pitched, Laffey had a 4.56 ERA and a 5.59 FIP. Laffey has never been a big strikeout pitcher, and really struggled with home runs last season.

Ah yes, just what the Mets need -- a guy who gives up HR's.
