More than 100 thousand pennies are missing from Groton-Durnstable Middle School. Students have been trying to collect one million pennies to better understand the magnitude of the Holocaust. Selectmen Chairman Peter Cunningham says kids noticed more than half of the pennies collected were missing. Cunningham says the thief must have taken them a few at a time,because 100 thousand pennies weigh about 550-pounds.
