This is the statement on the page: "each state is No. 1 in some kind of environmental or public health initiative." So best used book stores don't count. But I have been to all of those book stores Art mentioned and he is not exaggerating. They are awesome.I looked up the Upworthy source and it is Mother Nature Network. So what does that mean? Scientific study? No. It appears to be local correspondents or bloggers. Someone like you or me. I never intended for anyone to take that maps link to be some sort of fact based information. Just so you know. Many of the stories might be taken from other news sources and be just as true as the originals. I can't tell. Which brings up a good question: how do you decide if what you are reading is true or not? Not everything is on Snopes. Here's their 'About Us' webpage:http://www.mnn.com/about-usWith a goal of providing the most accurate and up-to-date news and information available, we cover the broadest scope of environmental news and social responsibility issues on the internet.
